Are These Women Soldiers? Part 3!

I shared some images before of soldiers that may have been women.  Click [HERE] and [HERE] for for the posts.   Here are some more.  What do you think?  Even if they're actually men (or young boys), their feminine appearance makes it easy to see how a woman soldier could blend in.

Photos are courtesy Mr. Frank Vattelena who gave me permission to post them.  Any inscriptions are his.  Click on them to enlarge them.

Gotta love the hair!

The image above is labeled Margaret Van Leuvan.  I found an individual with that name, but she was born around 1906.  I wonder if that is who owned the photograph at some point instead-perhaps a relative of the soldier.

Mason and possible female soldier
Wisconsin soldiers
Sailor
Cavalry soldiers
First, it was not uncommon to see male soldiers posed intimately like the two individuals above.  Don't let that fool you.  It was a display of  friendship.

The individual on the right - the one in question - looks very similar to this person (eyebrows and mouth):

What in the world is in the jacket????

Until next formation...rest.
