It appears that the photograph shown around the one-minute mark was misidentified. It is actually the 44th Indiana Infantry. You can see more here: https://44thindiana.wordpress.com/statistics/
Nevertheless, they were Midwesterners and undoubtedly looked very similar.

So it's pretty easy to confuse the pictures of the two regiments - especially when one is suddenly flashed on the screen!
